Proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on European Union designs (codification)

On 3 July 2025, the European Commission proposed placing the frequently amended EU design rules in one regulation. The Commission says codification cannot change their substance and is intended to make the law clearer and more accessible; Parliament and the Council would consider the measure under the normal EU lawmaking procedure.
