Guidelines for civic debate

Bouleon should make complex public proposals easier to understand and debate. These guidelines protect disagreement without rewarding noise.

Argue the proposal

Focus on the text, trade-offs, consequences, and sources. Strong disagreement is welcome when it adds context or asks a useful question.

No harassment or hate

Do not target people with abuse, threats, slurs, dehumanizing language, or identity-based hostility. Critique claims and policies rather than attacking people.

No spam or manipulation

Do not flood discussions, coordinate fake engagement, repeatedly post the same message, or use automation to distort votes, likes, follows, or comment visibility.

Be careful with claims

When a claim is factual or technical, prefer linking to official sources or explaining uncertainty. Misinformation, fabricated sources, and misleading summaries may be moderated.

Supporter visibility

Supporter badges can show who funds the product, but payment should not excuse low-quality behavior or override moderation.
